The primary responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist are tomanage the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and
employment.
Provide Human Resources advice and consultation to employees and management, including coaching and counseling on performance management issues, conflict management resolution, and interpretation of employment policies
Conduct internal investigations, evaluate situations by conducting interviews and make recommendations for resolution
Implement, disseminate, and monitor corporate and division policies, programs and procedures in the areas of administration, training, compensation, compliance, and benefits to attract, retain, and motivate employees
Record and maintain employee information and changes to HRIS (Human Resource Information System), ADP, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
Monitor location compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to equal employment opportunity, unemployment compensation, and any other employment-related requirements
Coordinate and communicate information regarding employment activity including, hiring, employee relations, compliance, and terminations within the location
Conduct new hire orientation and assist new employees with new hire paperwork
Assist employees with benefit questions and issues regarding eligibility, new enrollment, and claims issues
Maintain current knowledge of Company benefits
Maintain accident and safety files in accordance with corporate and federal regulations
Coordinate drug testing practices to include pre-employment, random, and post-accident/post-injury testing
Process Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and workers compensation leaves, issues, and claims
Coordinate facility activities
Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing
Additional Duties and
Responsibilities:
Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related field
2-4 years' experience as a Human Resource Generalist
Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, long days, and evening/weekend hours in order to perform assigned tasks
Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
Adhere to all established procedures, policies, and safety rules as outlined by the Company
Expected to work 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required
Occasional travel may be required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines
Knowledge of both federal and state employment and benefits laws
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
Ability to resolve conflict and gain cooperation
Ability to provide counsel to leadership securing their commitment to Company goals
Ability to articulate and promote the Company's strategic positions, including its core values, to a diverse audience
Ability to exercise sound judgment within established guidelines
Analyze data and provide recommendations
Demonstrate effective time management
Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking up to 10% of the time
Ability to work at a computer station and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
Ability to occasionally bend, squat, stand walk, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, have both arms and legs accessible, and perform manual dexterity Working knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office Suite, ADP or other HRIS preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
