Job Description: Develop full service customer relationships, promote exemplary customer service and uphold Bank of the Cascades sales, service and soundness values. Offer comprehensive financial service solutions to new and existing customers. Daily responsibilities include sales, service, operations and processing customer transactions. As an operations specialist, provide guidance to other branch customer service team members. Achieve individual goals, contribute to Branch goals and overall Bank of the Cascades strategies and objectives.
Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:
? Interview customers and cross-sell appropriate products: Effectively match financial solutions to customer needs, including opening all types of new accounts and consumer loans.
? Perform daily operational responsibilities, accurately and efficiently processing cash and deposit transactions, balancing, and processing reports.
? Utilize sales techniques; develop business within the Branch and over the phone. Effectively educate customers and communicate all available options.
? Act as an operations specialist for customer service team members; answer questions, provide guidance regarding Bank products/services, policies or specific transactions.
? Ensure the adherence to all policies and procedures and assist team members with operating problems, exceptions and adjustments.
? Handle complex or escalated issues, research customer inquiries and provide resolutions within Bank guidelines.
? May train other team members, provide leadership and support in the absence of the branch manager.
? Refer customers to Trusted Advisor Teams as appropriate for additional Bank products and services.
? Build and maintain effective partnerships with Branch team members, Professional Bankers and Lending Officers.
? Meet or exceed individual and Branch cross-sell expectations, goals and objectives.
? Proactively research customer files and reports; create and manage internal and external customer prospect lists to appropriately target sales opportunities, cross-sell/refer Bank products and services, and follow-up on sales activities.
? Maintain daily activity reports, individual customer work-sheets and consistently use BOTC tickler systems for follow-up. Submit monthly summary report and other reports as required.
? Actively participate in Branch promotions, daily huddles, and assist Branch management with meetings and training.
? Provide assistance for branch communication support, including greeting customers, responding to incoming telephone calls, electronic mail and voice mail.
? Provide Notary Public services to customers and the general public.
? Provide support and assistance for operations functions; process operational reports, perform bookkeeping, clerical and other related duties as assigned in support of the daily functions and special projects of the branch.
? Required to register with the NMLS Registry as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) and provide the unique identifier to consumers per BOTC policies. MLOs must follow BOTC procedures for updating their information as necessary, certifying authenticity, and renewing their registration annually.
? Participate in training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, systems and technology, compliance and banking regulations.
? Comply with all Bank policies and procedures, state and federal banking regulations, and maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
? Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
? Five years or more experience delivering exemplary level of customer service in a professional environment.
? Experience with banking or financial related industry operations required.
? Proven ability to assess customer needs and promote and sell appropriate Bank products and services in an effort to develop and deepen customer relationships.
? Demonstrated knowledge of deposit products and services, consumer credit products and services, and a general understanding of loan policy.
? Demonstrated knowledge in the area of banking compliance; ability to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of customer information in order to meet regulatory requirements (i.e. Patriot Act).
? Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
? Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
? Intermediate accounting skills with mathematical aptitude and computer spreadsheet skills.
? Must be proficient in the use of personal computer systems, internet applications, electronic mail and various Windows-based software applications including but not limited to, banking application software, word processing and spreadsheet software.

? Demonstrate acceptable personal financial responsibility and be bondable.
Education / Certification Requirements:
? High school diploma or equivalent.
? Bank of the Cascades advanced new accounts certification and relationship banking training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
? Requires hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish letters or symbols.
? Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job as listed.
? Able to regularly stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
? Able to verbally communicate effectively with others.
? May be required to push, pull, lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
? Extensive use of the telephone and internet communications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
