Description:
The Office and Recruiting Assistant will have two principal functions: assisting with office administration and recruiting initiatives. We are looking for someone who thrives off of assisting others, whether it is current or prospective employees. Every day will be a little different in this role; you might be ordering office supplies and planning a birthday lunch one day and screening resumes and interviewing prospective employees the next. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in shaping company culture through administrative and recruiting initiatives. This individual will report to the Vice President of People Initiatives, located in Redwood City.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Office Assistance
Scanning, printing and photocopying
Planning local office celebrations (birthday lunches, welcome breakfasts)
Management / replenishment of office equipment and supplies
General office organization and tidiness
Assistance with other projects as needed with various functional teams, often Excel-based
Recruiting Assistance
Execute upon Balsam Brands hiring strategy
Provide a smooth and professional experience for all candidates
Organize the interview process, including:
Screen resumes and identify qualified candidates
Schedule interviews with qualified candidates
Conduct phone screens and otherEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
